Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a trilateral meeting of representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States on resolving the Ukrainian conflict could take place before autumn. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"I think that then a trilateral meeting [of representatives from Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington on settlement] will take place. Of course, all this must be done before autumn," the Ukrinform agency quoted Zelenskyy as saying.

According to the agency, the US has several plans to end the conflict. Ukrainian parliament member Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Wednesday that Zelenskyy would visit the US this week. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold a meeting on the "peace track" and attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham.

On Thursday morning, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met in Manila. Lavrov reaffirmed Russia's readiness for a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties agreed to maintain contacts between their foreign policy agencies.
