Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that external participation is necessary to ensure Ukraine's compliance with potential agreements, since not all decisions are made in Kyiv. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Miroshnik emphasized that without external participation, negotiations are meaningless. In an interview with the newspaper Izvestia, he said: "Decisions are not made in Kyiv. Therefore, without external participation, negotiations are meaningless."
According to Miroshnik, the Ukrainian regime cannot ensure compliance with any agreements that might be reached as a result of negotiations. This statement was made in the context of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
Earlier, a Russian Foreign Ministry official commented on the sanctions package adopted by the European Union.
