Russia's electoral system has proven its resilience and its ability to withstand external pressure and attempts to discredit the elections. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The statement was made by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"I think you have seen for yourself the resilience of our electoral system and that it has proven its ability to withstand external pressure and attempts to discredit the elections," the politician said during a meeting with Simplice Mathieu Sarandji, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic.
It is noted that the distinguished guest took part in the State Duma elections as an observer.
