Talks between Russia and Ukraine on a new exchange of prisoners of war are in a very active phase. This was stated by Russia's human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Lantratova, on the sidelines of the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg, journalists asked the ombudsman about the state of dialogue between Russia and Ukraine on a new prisoner exchange.
"In a very active phase. We cannot name a specific date yet," Lantratova replied.
The International Youth Festival is being held in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17. It has gathered 10,000 participants from 191 countries.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners of war.
