Russia and Ukraine have exchanged the bodies of fallen servicemen on Belarusian territory. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"Today, another procedure for the exchange of bodies of fallen servicemen between Russia and Ukraine took place on the border territory of Belarus," the report says.
The exchange took place at the Novaya Guta checkpoint on the border between Belarus and Ukraine.
"The Russian side handed over to Ukraine the bodies of 252 deceased persons, while Ukraine handed over to Russia the bodies of 25 persons," the report states.
According to the agency, amid the conflict in Ukraine, Belarus continues to facilitate the organization of humanitarian corridors, family reunification, as well as the exchange of prisoners of war and bodies of fallen servicemen.
More than 70 humanitarian and exchange missions have already been carried out on Belarusian territory, the agency added.
