Russia expresses gratitude to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its mediation efforts regarding the conflict in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On Thursday, senior Russian diplomat Georgy Borisenko, who was on a working visit to Abu Dhabi, held in-depth political consultations with UAE Minister of State Lana Nusseibeh, as well as a separate meeting with UAE Minister of State Said Al Hajeri.
In a statement following Borisenko's visit to Abu Dhabi, the ministry said: "Gratitude was expressed to partners in the Emirates for their mediation efforts."
Earlier, the UAE Foreign Ministry stated that negotiations on Ukraine demonstrated the existence of a common position.
