Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice called the 30 days he spent in a Texas jail over the summer a "learning experience" and a "reality check." This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.
The 26-year-old Rice was booked into a Dallas County jail on May 19 for violating the terms of his probation, which stemmed from his role in a car crash that left multiple people injured on a Texas highway. He had undergone knee surgery prior to that.
Speaking about his time in jail, Rice said it was a "reality check" for him, and that he got through it by rehabbing from knee surgery and watching plenty of comedian Kevin Hart on TV to keep his spirits up.
While the incident was a difficult period in Rice's career, he emphasized that he learned from the experience and is moving forward.
