The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the amount of fines written off under the administrative amnesty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Murat Kabdenov, Chairman of the Administrative Police Committee, the amnesty by internal affairs bodies was applied to approximately 590,000 citizens.
"As a result, more than 1.3 million administrative penalties were terminated against them, and fines totaling over 22 billion tenge were written off," said Kabdenov.
The committee head reminded that the amnesty is a one-time humanitarian measure. It does not exempt from liability for future offenses.
"If a citizen commits an offense again, they will be held fully accountable in accordance with the law," Kabdenov emphasized.
It is noted that within the framework of the administrative amnesty, tax authorities also write off fines and penalties.
