Barcelona thrashed Racing from Santander in a home match of the sixth round of the Spanish championship. The meeting at Camp Nou ended with a score of 7:2, and Raphinha scored a hat-trick. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

First half: Barcelona open the scoring

The Catalans opened the scoring as early as the eighth minute: Joao Cancelo shot from outside the penalty area after an assist from Lamine Yamal. In the 25th minute, Raphinha converted a penalty and doubled the hosts' advantage. Five minutes later, Maguette Gueye pulled one goal back for Racing.

In the 36th minute, after a shot by Cancelo and a deflection off Asier Villalibre, the score became 3:1. Before the break, Raphinha scored his second goal, finishing an assist from Dani Olmo – 4:1.

Second half: Raphinha's hat-trick

In the second half, Racing again reduced the deficit – in the 65th minute, Yassir Zabiri stood out. However, almost immediately Raphinha scored for the third time and completed his hat-trick. In the 79th minute, substitute Gabriel Jesus made it 6:2 after an assist from Yamal. The Spanish winger himself also scored at the end and set the final result – 7:2.

League standings

Barcelona has won all six opening matches of La Liga, collected the maximum 18 points and tops the standings. Racing, after the defeat, remained with seven points and settled in tenth place.
