A court fined a 39-year-old resident of Kyzylorda for obscene language during a live broadcast on TikTok. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The broadcast was identified during monitoring of the social network. According to police, during the stream the woman repeatedly used obscene language. During the check, law enforcement officers established that the broadcast was conducted by Zhuldyzai Kudaibergenova, a native of Kyzylorda.
The amount of the fine and the article under which she was held liable were not specified by the police. The department added that they identify offenses on the internet on an ongoing basis.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a 53-year-old resident of Semey was arrested for five days for petty hooliganism during a live broadcast on TikTok. The broadcast was viewed by about 12 thousand people: the woman used obscene language and drank alcohol.
This case once again raises the issue of social media users' responsibility for their behavior during live streams. Law enforcement agencies emphasize that monitoring of the internet space is carried out on a regular basis, and identified violations entail liability provided for by law.
Such incidents are not isolated. Earlier in Semey, a woman was arrested for five days for petty hooliganism during a TikTok live stream, which was watched by about 12 thousand people. At that time, she not only used obscene language but also drank alcohol.
Experts note that live streams on social networks are equated to public actions, which means that violations during them entail the same liability as in the offline space. This applies to both obscene language and other illegal actions.
Police reminded that the identification of offenses on the internet is carried out constantly and urged citizens to comply with the law when using social networks. The amount of the fine and the article under which the Kyzylorda resident was held liable are not specified.
