A court in Aralsk, Kyzylorda region, has sentenced a man for stabbing his son to death. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred in July of this year. During a domestic conflict, the enraged man inflicted multiple knife wounds on his 42-year-old son.
The criminal case was heard in the specialized inter-district criminal court of Kyzylorda region. The man was charged under Part 1 of Article 99 of the Criminal Code ("Murder").
"By the court's verdict, the convicted person was deprived of liberty for a term of eight years. He will serve his sentence in a medium-security institution of the penal enforcement system," the court reported.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
