Doctors in the Kyzylorda Region have practiced modern methods of performing complex surgeries in obstetrics and gynecology. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Health, over three days specialists together with an invited expert performed surgeries using laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and open methods.
Where and when the master class was held
The master class was held from September 21 to 23 at the regional perinatal and regional oncology centers. It was conducted to improve the qualifications of regional specialists and introduce modern surgical methods into practice.
Who was the expert
The expert was Yerlan Kukubasov, head of the department at the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology, candidate of medical sciences.
What surgeries were performed
During the master class, doctors performed several types of surgical interventions, including hysterectomies, as well as collection of material for histological examination.
Surgeries were broadcast online
Some of the surgeries were broadcast online via the telemedicine network. This allowed other medical workers in the region to observe the process and discuss surgical approaches with the expert.
