A company from Wuhan plans to build a greenhouse complex in the Turkestan region to grow flowers and ornamental trees. Additionally, the project includes a specialized shopping center for their sale, the akimat of the Turkestan region reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Akim of the Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov discussed the future greenhouse complex project with representatives of the Chinese company Wuhan Xiangyu Dingsheng Construction Engineering. The company from Wuhan intends to grow flowers and ornamental trees in the region and build a specialized shopping center.
The project is expected to contribute to the greening of the region, the development of floriculture and ornamental plant production, and create new jobs. During the meeting, participants discussed construction stages, technical and financial mechanisms, as well as possible export of products to foreign markets.
"On June 10, as part of our working visit to the People's Republic of China, we held a meeting in Wuhan where we discussed the implementation of this project. Today's meeting is an important step towards the concrete realization of this initiative. I believe that the investment project to build a modern greenhouse complex and a specialized shopping center will not only increase the investment potential of the region but also make a great contribution to the development of the agro-industrial sector," the akim noted.
Representatives of the Chinese company said that the complex will grow various varieties of flowers and ornamental trees, and will also introduce modern agricultural technologies and automated control systems. The facility could potentially become a site for tourism development.
Earlier, it was reported that a Chinese company will build a plant for the production of metallurgical coke worth 63.5 billion tenge in the Karaganda region. Its capacity will be 1 million tons per year.
