During the festival, traditional customs such as dyeing nails with garden balsam, making qiaoguo (a pastry made by pressing dough into decorative molds), and children creating sachet-shaped Song brocade pearl paintings were demonstrated.

The Qixi festival is a traditional Chinese celebration also known as Chinese Valentine's Day. It is rooted in legend and tradition.
