A Kia Seltos from China in maximum trim has been shown at the Khorgos auto market. Importer Almas Botabekov spoke about the equipment and features of the new crossover, which at the time of publication is offered for $15.1 thousand (about 6.8 million tenge) excluding additional expenses. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The crossover from the review, produced in August 2026, received surround-view cameras, blind-spot sensors and 17-inch wheels with 215/60 R17 tires. The interior has seats with electric adjustment, perforation and side support. There is also a lane-keeping system, adaptive cruise control and an electric tailgate. The gearbox selector is located under the steering wheel.
At the same time, the exporter noted that Chinese versions are mostly supplied only with summer tires.
The multimedia supports English, Chinese and Korean languages. In addition, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android is claimed, and there are three Type-C ports for connecting devices.
“The fullest trim can be bought for $15.1 thousand,” Botabekov assures.
According to him, previously a less equipped version was offered for this amount. The maximum trim has become cheaper by about $1.5 thousand, while the previous price was about $17 thousand (7.7 million tenge).
At the same time, the stated amount does not include customs clearance, utilization fee, delivery to Kazakhstan and the importer’s commission. According to Kursiv Auto’s estimate, taking these expenses into account, the final cost of the crossover may increase by 40–50% – to approximately 10–11 million tenge.
The trunk has a spare tire, which, according to Botabekov, is not often found in Chinese cars. Other features include a panoramic roof and retractable door handles. At the same time, the Kia Connect service for remote control of vehicle functions does not work abroad.
Also, the crossover can drive forward or backward without a driver. The function will be useful, for example, if the car is boxed in a parking lot.
At the same time, the shown “Seltos” did not have heated seats, but the author assured that it can be installed additionally at the border with Kazakhstan.
“The car looks more expensive than $16–17 thousand,” the exporter noted.
According to his estimate, the model is interesting in the segment up to $20 thousand, but the final price depends on the specific car and discounts. Before buying, he advises taking into account the trim and specifications of a particular unit.
Earlier, Kursiv Auto reported that the new Kia Seltos had been prepared for production in Kazakhstan.
