In Jiangxi Province, southeast China, a landslide caused by heavy rains from Typhoon Saudel killed one person and left 11 missing. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.

The disaster struck Gaoping town in Suichuan County around four in the morning on Saturday, damaging 12 residential buildings. People were trapped under the rubble.

The stormy weather also affected the neighboring Fujian Province, where about 600,000 residents were evacuated from dangerous zones, and more than 100 houses were destroyed as a result of a dam breach and floods. Search and rescue operations are ongoing at the sites.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that a rock landslide occurred in Ile-Alatau at an altitude of 2500 meters near the Big Almaty Lake. Tourists who filmed and posted it on social media said that despite clear weather, stones suddenly fell from the mountain, and the area was shrouded in a thick cloud of dust.
