An unusual "picturesque" accident occurred in Chongqing, China. A white crossover flew off the road after a maneuver and ended up suspended between trees and electrical equipment near a tunnel. Footage from the scene spread across social media, and users are already joking that the car arranged itself a parking spot in the air. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing News.qq.com.
The accident occurred on the morning of August 5 near the Eling tunnel in Yuzhong District. According to Chinese media, the car was driving in the middle lane, then crossed a solid line and sharply veered left.
The SUV flew onto a slope near the tunnel and hit the edge of a cliff. After the impact, it became wedged between several trees and an electrical installation below. The hood was raised upward, and the car hung at an angle above the ground. Pink petals beautifully fell onto the car.
In the published video, the crossover can be seen literally "taking off" for a second in front of the tunnel. After the impact, the driver opened the door but did not dare to get out on his own – the height was too great.
Traffic police and firefighters arrived at the scene, who used a ladder to extract two people from the car and handed them over to medics for examination.
The causes of the accident had not been established at the time of publication. However, the unusual position of the car made the incident viral on social media.
