China is not planning to hold a summit on settling the conflict in Ukraine with the participation of Russia and the United States. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

This was stated by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. He said he had asked Chinese President Xi Jinping about the accuracy of information that "the leaders of China, the US and Russia will hold negotiations on the Ukraine issue."

"He mentioned only the upcoming summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation organization, which will be held in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. In his opinion, there are currently no necessary preconditions for holding a summit with the participation of the US, Russia and China on the Ukraine issue," Steinmeier said in an interview with the German TV channel Tagesschau.

It is worth noting that the said economic summit will be held in the Chinese city of Shenzhen on November 18-19.
