Over the past two years, criminal cases considered have caused damage to the state totaling 66.5 billion tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, 30.1 billion tenge of this amount remained uncollected. One of the main reasons for this situation is the failure of authorized state bodies to file claims for recovery of damage caused to the state.
Prosecutors submitted 6 submissions, 3 protests, and 27 claims totaling 30.1 billion tenge. As a result of the measures taken, 651 million tenge was actually recovered to state revenue. Claims for recovery of the remaining amount of damage are under consideration, the statement said.
Example in Kyzylorda region
One example is a case in the Kyzylorda region. Two citizens made changes to the technical documents of 63 vehicles by deliberately entering false information into the information system. As a result, customs payments for 16 vehicles in the amount of 115.3 million tenge, and fees for initial state registration of 63 vehicles in the amount of 460.6 million tenge, were not received into the budget.
After the measures taken by the prosecutor's office, the authorized body went to court and managed to recover 575.9 million tenge in favor of the state.
