A public chamber is being created under the Quryltai. Today deputies adopted the corresponding resolution. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Previously, a public chamber operated under the Mazhilis. And the expert club under the Senate carefully worked through draft laws.

Authoritative experts, scholars, public figures and representatives of the non-governmental sector were involved in this work.

“Therefore, today it is important to preserve the best practices accumulated within these platforms, continue this work within the framework of the Quryltai’s activities and raise it to a new level,” said deputy Aidos Sarym.

According to him, such associations serve as a reliable bridge between citizens and the authorities and are becoming an important indicator reflecting society’s real demands and positions.

“The chamber’s work should not be limited only to draft laws. On its platform, it is necessary to discuss the most pressing issues of socio-political and socio-economic development. First of all, these are issues requiring professional expertise, open discussion and feedback with society. Therefore, it is important to ensure broad representation in the chamber’s composition,” the deputy said.

The public chamber will include 50 people. And if necessary, authoritative scholars, industry specialists, representatives of state bodies and public associations can be additionally involved in discussing individual issues and sectoral topics.
