Voting in Kurultai elections completed

Voting in the Kurultai elections has ended in Kazakhstan, reports Sputnik Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Ballot counting has begun at polling stations. Due to time differences, voting continues at foreign polling stations.

As of 19:00, all 79 polling stations established in 61 countries have started their work.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 74 stations will complete their work by 00:00. The voting process abroad will end on August 24 at 08:00 Astana time at the polling station at the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in San Francisco, USA.

Of the 11,402 voters registered abroad, 6,007 have already voted.

The Central Election Commission will publish final data on voter turnout in Kazakhstan at 20:30.
