The Central Election Commission has published preliminary data on the number of participants in the elections. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A total of 9,351,539 people participated in the Kurultai elections. This is 74.08 percent of citizens included in the lists. The voter lists contained 12,605,788 people in total.
Active regions during the elections included Turkistan, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Abai, and Akmola regions. The lowest turnout was recorded in Almaty.
