The Central Election Commission announced the amount of fees paid by two parties participating in the Kurultai elections. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the law, an election fee of 1 million 275 thousand tenge is paid for each candidate on the party list. According to Central Election Commission member Mikhail Bortnik, the Baytak green party did not enter the Mazhilis in the previous elections but received 2.30 percent of the vote. Therefore, it received a 30 percent discount. "This party pays 70 percent of the election fees. Today, a total of 41 million 947 thousand 500 tenge has been transferred to the commission's account for 47 candidates," Bortnik said at a briefing in Astana.

The Adilet party, although it has incorporated AMANAT into its composition, is participating in the elections for the first time. Therefore, it pays election fees without a discount. This party has nominated 186 candidates. "The Adilet party, participating in elections for the first time, has transferred 237 million 150 thousand tenge to the commission's account for 186 people," Bortnik emphasized.

It is worth noting that the remaining five parties participating in the elections do not pay election fees, as they previously exceeded the 5 percent threshold in parliamentary elections.
