Deputy Chair of the Qurultay Daniya Yespayeva announced the salaries of deputies. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Today the first plenary session of the Qurultay was held. Afterwards, several deputies spoke to journalists. At that time, reporters asked about the salaries of the deputy corps.
According to Deputy Chair of the Qurultay Daniya Yespayeva, the salary amount is paid depending on each deputy's length of service.
"Currently, deputies' salaries are around 600,000 to 1 million tenge. If a deputy has a long work record, the salary reaches up to 1 million," Yespayeva said.
It is worth noting that in 2022, Tokayev announced a five-year moratorium on raising the salaries of government members, regional akims and deputies. At that time, deputies said they received 630,000–650,000 tenge. And the Senate speaker was paid more than 1 million tenge three years ago.
In addition, deputies were banned from congratulating relatives from the rostrum. This restriction may lead to loss of salary.
