The Foreign Ministry has responded to complaints from Kazakhstanis who ended up in the combat zone. The ministry said it is negotiating with the Russian side to return them home. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

"The ministry is verifying information on each person. After the verification is completed, the compiled list of citizens will be sent to the Russian side," the Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry is holding consultations with the Russian side on the return of Kazakhstanis who found themselves in the combat zone. The ministry emphasized that the situation is under special control, and the protection of the rights of Kazakh citizens abroad is an unconditional priority.

Families of those affected must provide full information about their relatives who left (full name, dates of birth, presumed location and terms of labor contracts) for prompt legal assistance.

The ministry operates a special hotline for relatives of Kazakhstanis who ended up in the combat zone. Usenov asked the media to help disseminate the contact details.
