The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Kazakhstan strongly condemns attacks by Houthi militias on civilian infrastructure facilities in Saudi Arabia that resulted in human casualties. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to Kazakh diplomats, such attacks are unacceptable from a humanitarian standpoint and violate the norms of international law.

"These actions undermine efforts to stabilize the situation in Yemen and hinder a political settlement of the conflict. We call for the immediate cessation of attacks and the resolution of the crisis exclusively through political and diplomatic means," the foreign ministry noted.

Kazakhstan expressed solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its right to protect sovereignty and security in accordance with the UN Charter.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that according to preliminary data from the Kazakh MFA, there are no Kazakh citizens among the dead and injured as a result of the attacks in Riyadh.

King Khalid International Airport in the capital of Saudi Arabia came under a series of missile strikes and drone attacks. Responsibility for the attacks was placed on Yemeni Houthis.

As a result of the latest massive attack, 12 people were killed and another 309 received injuries of varying severity. Among the dead are citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.
