A fire in a detached warehouse on Ordzhonikidze Street in Kostanay has been fully extinguished. The fire area was 650 square meters, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Arriving units discovered open burning of the building's roof. During extinguishing, rescuers removed five oxygen cylinders with a volume of 80 liters each from the warehouse and moved them to a safe place.

Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, employees of the Operational Rescue Squad and the Disaster Medicine Center, as well as police, an ambulance team, and an emergency gas service worked at the scene.

Earlier, Kursiv reported a large fire in the area of the former meat-packing plant in Kostanay. According to initial data from the Department of Emergency Situations, the fire occurred in a detached building of a service station on Koblandy Batyr Street, formerly Herzen Street. Witnesses reported heavy smoke and high open flames.
