A pupil of the Special Center for Social Services for Children in Kostanay has died. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This information was confirmed by the head of the regional Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, Dinara Karymsakova. The incident occurred on July 28.
According to Karymsakova, the child's condition was normal that day. "No fever or any complaints were recorded. The child was active, had lunch, and was put to bed for a nap," she said.
The head of the department noted that the center provides round-the-clock care for each child. "In groups, junior medical staff conduct constant monitoring, medical stations operate around the clock. Medical workers and the management of the institution make rounds twice a day and conduct medical examinations of children. The center employs a pediatrician, a neurologist, and other specialized specialists," said Dinara Karymsakova.
Social media spread information that the child may have died due to heat, as the building lacks air conditioning. However, the department denied this. "Each group has air conditioning installed. Due to the summer heat this year, the drinking regime and temperature conditions in the rooms were under special control," said the head of the department.
Currently, the police have opened a criminal case. Necessary examinations have been ordered to determine the circumstances of the incident.
