A natural fire occurred in the Karabalyk district of the Kostanay region. Near the village of Urnek, dry steppe vegetation and birch groves caught fire, with part of the blaze spreading to the territory of the Karadum forestry. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The fire covered approximately 850 hectares. On September 8, in villages of the Denisov district, due to extreme heat and dry wind, houses and farm buildings burned, and livestock perished.
There are no casualties, reports "Nasha Gazeta". More than 100 firefighters, 25 pieces of equipment, and an EMERCOM helicopter were involved in extinguishing the fire. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all forces and means, the fire was completely extinguished, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
