In the Kostanay region, a police officer prevented a tragedy during horse races dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Beimbet Mailin. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The regional police department published a shocking video on social media. During the race, a child fell from a horse and ended up directly in the path of a group of galloping horses following behind. The situation could have ended in tragedy, but police sergeant Dastan Daribay, who was on duty, reacted instantly.

The convoy service officer, who was maintaining public order at the event, ran onto the track, picked up the child, and carried him out of the danger zone in a matter of seconds.

"After the incident, the boy was handed over to an ambulance team. According to preliminary data, he did not receive serious injuries," the police said.

Earlier, Kursiv reported how in the Akmola region, a three-year-old child suffered severe injuries after being trampled by a horse during races.
