On 26 October 2026, a five-year-old child died from multiple head and body injuries in the village of Kushmurun, Kostanay region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to Kazinform, police detained the suspect on the same day. A court has already sanctioned his detention in custody.
A pre-trial investigation was launched by the police department of Auliekol district. The detainee's actions were classified under the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan article "Murder of a minor".
The killer faces life imprisonment.
The investigation is under special control of the regional prosecutor's office. Other details of the case are not disclosed in the interests of the investigation.
