In the Kostanay region, wheat worth 8 million tenge was stolen. The incident occurred in the village of Kopychenka in Fedorov district. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
It was established that a Kamaz driver was transporting grain from a farm and concealed 100 tonnes.
Police identified the culprit and returned the stolen harvest to its owner. Law enforcement noted that during the harvest season this is not an isolated case.
Over the course of a year, more than ten such thefts occurred in the region.
Law enforcement officers remind that this act carries a penalty of up to 7 years of imprisonment.
