In the village of Kusmurun, Auliekol district, Kostanay region, a 5-year-old boy died at the hands of a person. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Villagers told a Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent about the tragic incident. The emergency occurred on October 26.
«The man had one child, and the woman had two children. They also had another child together, who died at 7 months. And the deceased boy was from the man's first wife. His biological mother wandered off on her own,» the villagers say.
The biological father and stepmother are not registered with any special agencies and lived an ordinary life. «The man is a railway worker, and the stepmother does manicures. The father brought the child to this family recently. He had mental development issues,» say the residents of Kusmurun.
The child was beaten, and there were multiple injuries on his body. «He died from multiple injuries to his head and body. The suspect was detained the same day, and his actions were classified under Article 99, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, 'murder of a minor',» said the Kostanay region prosecutor's office.
The man has been taken into custody, and an investigation is underway.
