Former Majilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov has denied information about his detention that circulated on social media. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Today, Koshanov visited a polling station in Astana and cast his vote. At that moment, journalists asked him about the information spreading on social media. "Recently, information appeared on social media that you were detained. What can you say about this?", reporters asked.
The ex-speaker called it fake information. "It was published on some destructive resources. I think it was done to sow discord in society and mislead the public. Therefore, we should not trust such false sources but rely on official ones," Koshanov said.
