Under the republican environmental program 'Taza Kazakhstan', more than 177,000 administrative violations have been identified in the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The agency is carrying out extensive work aimed at preventing the dumping of solid household and construction waste in unauthorized places, as well as stopping the discharge of liquid waste outside special landfills.

'In the five months of this year, 248 illegal dumpsites were identified and more than 177,000 administrative violations were recorded (littering of public places, violation of landscaping rules),' the message said.

To take appropriate measures, 58 materials were sent to ecology departments, local executive and other authorized state bodies. Also, 172 recommendations were submitted to local executive bodies to eliminate identified violations. As a result of their review, 153 illegal dumpsites were eliminated.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to comply with the requirements of environmental legislation, maintain the cleanliness of settlements, and treat the environment with care.
