A commission has been established to conduct a comprehensive audit of the state of affairs in the Defense Ministry. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The order states: "In order to conduct a comprehensive audit of the state of affairs in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the situation in the sphere of financial and material-technical support of military formations, a commission shall be established to conduct a comprehensive audit of the state of affairs in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
The commission will be headed by Aida Balayeva, Deputy Chair of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The commission also includes the following officials:
- 01Smailov Alikhan Askhanovich – Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Chairman of the Commission;
- 02Zhiyenbayev Yerzhan Nurlanovich – Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 03Elimanov Zhanat Kaldybekovich – Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring;
- 04Baimukashev Murat Kalibekovich – Head of the Apparatus of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 05Takiyev Madi Tokeshevich – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 06Umiraliyev Zhandos Zhanibekovich – First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 07Altynbayev Ali Sapargaliyevich – First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 08Amrin Azamat Kemengerovich – First Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On September 24, during exercises in the Caspian Sea in Mangystau region, 14 servicemen died and three were rescued.
