The Ministry of Defense has announced that the subject of initial military training in schools will be taught under a new program. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to Lyudmila Peryakina, deputy head of the Department of Military Education and Science, Major, starting September 1, the subject will again be called "Initial Military Training." The format of teaching will also change radically.

"These changes concern both the content of the subject and the approaches to teacher training. Now, teacher professional development will be organized at military educational institutions. This will allow for strengthening their practical training. In addition, the legislation provides for teachers to have military experience," said Peryakina.

What will change in the new program?

The new program prioritizes the digitalization of the educational process. In this regard, teachers are learning to widely use artificial intelligence capabilities in developing teaching aids and situational tasks.

There are other areas for improving the qualifications of initial military training teachers:

  • 01teaching unmanned aerial vehicle technologies in initial military training classes;
  • 02modern approaches to organizing pre-conscription training of youth in the system of additional education;
  • 03effective use of military-sports and military-applied competitions in the educational process.

It is worth noting that earlier, the updated draft of the textbook on initial military training was presented at the Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
