An unidentified patient has been receiving treatment at the Korday district hospital in Zhambyl region for three years. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The regional health department confirmed this information. The patient, approximately 60 years old, is under medical supervision at the Korday district central hospital.

How he was admitted

He was first brought to the hospital from a remote pasture area without documents and with no permanent place of residence.

"Currently, the patient has no identity documents, nor any precise information about his citizenship, place of residence or relatives. No data allowing his identification was found in the information systems of the Republic of Kazakhstan either," the department reported.

Current condition

The patient is now in the surgery department of the Korday district central hospital. He is receiving necessary medical care, is being looked after and is provided with food.

"Since it is impossible to discharge the patient on his own or place him in another institution, the medical and social issue is being resolved jointly with the relevant authorities," the Zhambyl region health department reported.
