Kazakhstan has increased the amount of financial support under the voluntary relocation program to regions with labor shortages. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Specifically, the maximum amount of the economic mobility certificate has been raised to 7 million tenge (1,625 MCI). Participants can use these funds to purchase private housing in the new region.
The main goal of the changes is to create conditions for citizens not just to move, but to settle comfortably, acquire housing, and lead a stable life in a new place, ministry specialists said.
Today, state support is not limited to housing certificates. Relocators receive various subsidies. In particular, rental and utility costs are compensated, and comprehensive employment support is provided. Additionally, participants can choose an employer before moving to the new region.
The list of program participants has also been expanded. Previously, mainly unemployed citizens participated; now, specialists in demand on the labor market, as well as heads of peasant and farm enterprises, can also use state support measures.
The program has been fully digitized. Submitting applications, viewing the regional map, the list of in-demand professions, and selecting suitable vacancies are available remotely via the migration.enbek.kz portal.
Since 2017, 73,900 people have participated in the program. Of these, 31,000 have found permanent employment through employment assistance measures.
