In Kazakhstan, prices for socially significant food products decreased over the week. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Bureau of National Statistics, as of July 22, 2026, prices for a number of socially significant food products decreased over the reporting week. The largest decrease was recorded for cucumbers, with prices falling by 4.3%.
Price decreases were also observed for cabbage (1.5%), potatoes (1.4%), tomatoes (0.8%), apples (0.7%), onions (0.4%), cottage cheese (0.3%), rice, buckwheat groats, hard and semi-hard cheese, and salt (0.1%).
During the reporting week, prices for first-grade wheat flour, bread made from first-grade wheat flour, milk (pasteurized, ultra-pasteurized, sterilized with fat content from 2.2% to 6%), sour cream, and butter remained unchanged.
The average price for cucumbers in the republic was 502 tenge per kilogram. The lowest price was recorded in Taraz – 339 tenge per kilogram.
The average republican price for polished rice was 533 tenge per kilogram. The most affordable prices were in Kyzylorda – 456 tenge and Aktau – 472 tenge.
The average price for potatoes in the country was 283 tenge per kilogram. The lowest price was recorded in Turkistan – 218 tenge per kilogram.
The average price for 10 eggs of the first category in the republic was 564 tenge. The lowest prices were observed in Kyzylorda (464 tenge) and Uralsk (471 tenge).
For meat products, the average prices in the republic were: beef with bone – 3,775 tenge per kilogram, chicken meat – 1,758 tenge per kilogram.
