Kazakhstan has announced the results of the republican project 'National School of Crafts'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The open competition received 330 applications from all regions. After technical review, duplicate applications were removed, and the competition committee considered 271 applications. Based on the selection, 10 top craftsmen were identified.
'They will soon start an educational program at the Qazaq Creative Hub in Astana. The craftsmen will teach children and youth aged 8 to 20 the intricacies of national handicrafts,' said ministry specialists.
The most applications came from the southern regions, totaling 137, which is half of all applications. The competition directions include traditional weaving and felting, decorative and applied arts, ethnodecor, jewelry making, national clothing and accessories.
