Unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected on June 25 in Taldykorgan, and at night in Temirtau and Aktobe. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to weather forecasters, the warning concerns the air quality forecast for Thursday.
"On June 25, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Taldykorgan, and at night in the cities of Temirtau and Aktobe," Kazhydromet reported.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term weather factors that contribute to the accumulation of pollutants in the surface layer of the atmosphere. Such factors include calm, light wind, fog, and inversion.
In Aktobe, variable cloudiness, occasional rain and thunderstorms are forecast. Fog is expected at night and in the morning. Wind is northwest, west, 3-8 m/s, with gusts up to 12 m/s during the day. Air temperature at night will be 14-16 degrees Celsius, during the day 25-27 degrees.
In Taldykorgan, variable cloudiness, light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the morning and afternoon. Wind is southwest, 3-8 m/s. At night, the air temperature will be 16-18 degrees Celsius, during the day heat up to 31-33 degrees.
In Temirtau, partly cloudy weather is forecast, with light rain in the morning and afternoon. Wind is west, northwest, at night 1-3 m/s, during the day 7-9 m/s. Air temperature at night will be 14-16 degrees Celsius, during the day 23-25 degrees.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazhydromet issued storm warnings for Thursday in all regions of Kazakhstan: forecasters predict rain, thunderstorms, hail, squally wind, fog, heat, as well as high and extreme fire danger.
