Unfavorable meteorological conditions (UMC) are expected on Wednesday, October 28, in eight cities of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the RSE "Kazhydromet". This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

UMC are forecast in Kostanay, Karaganda, Balkhash, Temirtau, Uralsk, Aktobe, Almaty, and Astana.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.

When UMC occur, deterioration of atmospheric air quality in populated areas is possible, which affects human health.

One of the most important factors determining the formation of pollution levels is the forecast of the synoptic situation (wind, precipitation, humidity, air temperature).

Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that forecasters warn of frosts down to −8 degrees, fog, and wind gusts up to 20 meters per second on October 28. A dust storm is expected in the Kyzylorda region. Most of the country will remain under the influence of an anticyclone — without precipitation.

According to the forecasters' forecast, on October 28, unfavorable weather conditions will persist in eight cities of Kazakhstan. Specialists of "Kazhydromet" note that during UMC, deterioration of air quality is possible, which affects public health.

In addition, in most of the country, under the influence of an anticyclone, weather without precipitation will persist. A dust storm is expected in the Kyzylorda region. Forecasters warn of fog and increased wind gusts.
