Overnight into September 27, frosts are expected in eight regions of Kazakhstan and the capital. In the south and southeast, there will be rain with thunderstorms, while dust storms will rise in places during the day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In most of the country, the weather will be dry. According to forecasters, rain with thunderstorms will occur in the Turkistan, Zhambyl and Kyzylorda regions. In Shymkent, they are expected in the morning and afternoon, in Taraz — at night.
In the north of the Turkistan region, as well as in the north and center of the Kyzylorda region, a dust storm is possible during the day. Wind gusts in a number of regions will reach 15–20 meters per second.
At night, temperatures will drop to frosts in certain areas of the Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan regions and the Abai region. In the east of the Karaganda region, a frost of up to one degree is expected on the soil surface.
In Astana, frosts of up to two degrees are forecast on the soil surface at night. In Pavlodar — up to one degree and fog. At night and in the morning, fog is also expected in a number of areas in the west, north and center of the country, including in Uralsk and Petropavlovsk.
An extreme fire hazard will persist fully or in certain areas of 14 regions. Among them are the Turkistan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and Almaty regions, as well as the Ulytau and Zhetisu regions. In Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Atyrau, Shymkent, Turkistan, Kyzylorda and Taraz, such a warning is also in effect for cities.
Earlier, Kazhydromet had already warned that night frosts and the first snow were approaching Kazakhstan.
