The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources reported that five forest fires were registered on September 13 in several regions of the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Where the fires were registered

According to the ministry, one forest fire was registered in each of the Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Pavlodar regions. Another fire occurred on the territory of the Semey Ormany state forest nature reserve.

Thus, of the five fires reported by the ministry, four occurred in regions and one on the territory of the state nature reserve.

How the fires were detected

As it turned out, the fires were detected by the state forest guard and specialists of Kazavialesookhrana during aerial patrols.

After information about the fires was received, the necessary forces and special equipment were promptly dispatched to the scenes.

Current situation

At present, work to localize and fully extinguish the fires continues. The progress of the firefighting measures is under the control of the ministry.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a fire at a solid waste landfill in the Almaty region had previously been fully extinguished.
