The semifinal bouts of the Asia Boxing Championships in the U19 and U23 age categories under the auspices of World Boxing, held in Indonesia, have concluded. 22 Kazakh boxers will compete in the decisive stage of the continental championship. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Among boys under 19, the Kazakhstan national team in the finals will be represented by Adil Askanbai (50 kg), Akzhurek Kalabai (65 kg), Bibarys Ashirbai (70 kg), Timur Taibekov (80 kg), Ruslan Akhmetov (85 kg), and Vladislav Samozhonov (+90 kg).

Bronze medalists of the tournament are Edige Nurguzha (55 kg) and Zhalgas Utebekov (90 kg).

In the women's bracket of the U19 category, the Asian championship gold will be contested by Kamila Ospanova (70 kg), Aidana Ubaidullakyzy (80 kg), and Zarina Tolybai (+80 kg).

Bronze medals were won by Madira Zhumakan (48 kg), Aknur Tursyngali (57 kg), and Aisulu Mukhit (65 kg).

The Kazakhstan men's U23 team secured seven berths in the finals of the continental championship. Advancing to the decisive stage are Beksultan Boranbek (55 kg), Nurassyl Tolebek (60 kg), Nurbek Mursal (70 kg), Aman Konysbek (75 kg), Oner Seilikhan (80 kg), Temirlan Mukataev (85 kg), and Ibragim Betaev (90 kg).

Aslan Eldibaiuly (+90 kg) finished with a bronze medal.

Our women's U23 team in the finals will be represented by Gulnaz Boribaeva (48 kg), Anita Adisheva (51 kg), Ulzhan Sarsenbek (57 kg), Aziza Isina (70 kg), Shugyla Nalibai (75 kg), and Kuralai Yeginbaikyyzy (80 kg).

Bronze medalists are Ayazhan Ermek (60 kg) and Panar Seitkhankyzy (+80 kg).

Women's finals in both age categories will take place tomorrow, July 15, and men's finals on July 16.

The 2026 Asian Boxing Championships in the U19 and U23 categories under World Boxing are being held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 5 to 16, with 329 athletes from 20 countries. A total of 40 sets of awards will be contested: 20 among boys and 20 among girls. The Kazakhstan national team is represented by a full roster of 40 athletes.
