Residents of 13 cities in Kazakhstan warned of unfavorable weather conditions

On Tuesday, September 22, unfavorable meteorological conditions (UMC) are expected in 13 cities of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the RSE Kazhydromet, residents are advised to take weather factors into account when planning their movements.

Which cities are expected to see unfavorable weather conditions

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in the cities of Pavlodar, Uralsk, Aktobe, Taldykorgan, Almaty, and at night in the cities of Petropavlovsk, Kostanay, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Atyrau, and Astana.

What UMC means

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, weak wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.

When UMC occur, the quality of atmospheric air in populated areas may deteriorate, which affects people's health.
