Three new air routes from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan will be launched, the Ministry of Transport reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"The opening of new routes will contribute to the further development of trade, economic, business, and tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan," the statement said.

According to the ministry, starting June 16, AZAL airline began operating new regular flights on the Shymkent–Baku route with a frequency of 3 times per week. As a result, the number of flights between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan increased from 30 to 33 per week.

In addition, the airline plans to operate regular flights on the Aktobe–Baku route 3 times per week and on the Atyrau–Baku route 4 times per week.
