The Ministry of Agriculture has published a decree banning the import of apples from abroad. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the document, from September 3 to December 31 of this year, apples cannot be imported from the EAEU and third countries.

Apples not subject to the restriction:

  • 01transit transportation;
  • 02apples placed under the customs procedure of export in the country of dispatch before the order enters into force;
  • 03apples imported into the Republic of Kazakhstan before the order is put into effect.
