The tiger named Umit, brought to Kazakhstan, has hunted a wolf and a wild boar in its first 10 days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the tiger's life in the first 10 days was under constant monitoring by specialists. Specialists track its movements via a GPS collar and conduct field checks of the areas it visits.

As a result of monitoring, it was found that Umit is capable of hunting on its own. The tiger caught a wolf and fed on this prey for several days. Later, it also caught a wild boar.

According to specialists, this is an important sign that Umit is adapting to the new environment and beginning to live independently in natural conditions. Currently, the tiger's movements are monitored daily, and its adaptation process to the wild is being studied.
